Very good, better than average. Spicy with black pepper as desired.
The jerky is spiced nicely with the black pepper as expected. The only problem I have with Hardtimes jerky (and many others) is the sinew that is too prevalent in their jerky. It could have a little more moisture and that might make it better. Overall, better than average jerky.

Black Pepper Hardtimes Real Beef Jerky
Perfect. Sometimes I open packages of beef jerky (for weeks) to let the product dry out a bit before eating it because it is too tender or greasy. This is beef jerky as intended, straight from the package. Perfect.

Best Beef Jerky Ever
I have become so accustomed to eating HardTimes, all other brands are a waste of time and money. I bought my first bag in a convenience store in Oklahoma a few years ago, and instantly fell in love. Other beef jerky brands are soft and loaded with sugar, so I was happy to find a brand who made it the way it's supposed to be made. I'm so glad I can order directly from them because I live in Missouri. Thank you for an awesome product; keep doing what you're doing!
