I love jerky. Sadly, in the last 10 years I haven't been able to find any. I've found plenty of pressed garbage, tons of flavorless mush, and worst of all stuff that isn't even dried, all posing as jerky. It wasn't until I got a gift from a friend of a bag of Hard Times that I tasted real jerky again. This is real jerky as the beef gods intended. So if you're an actual man and want real jerky then look no further. If you're some soy laden, pronoun spouting, dress wearing, lady boy......I'm sure Jack Links has a product for you.
This is my absolute favorite jerky. Nice and dry, salty, and not a bunch of sugary crap that masks all the meat flavor. After trying a few bottles I bought a whole case, its that good.
I've tried MANY brands of beef jerky and Hard Times brand is unquestionably the best. Not too thick and excellent texture, its dry like beef jerky is supposed to be. I've tried both the original and peppered flavors, both are 10/10. Flavor is not overpowering, not overly salty, it's fantastic. Very lean steak slices, not much fat on them unlike some other brands. I also like the plastic jars they come in. It's easy to reseal the container to keep it fresh. The pieces are neatly stacked in the container. You can tell a lot of thought and care was put into the preparation of this product. I sincerely hope they never change the recipe because they absolutely nailed it.

After my husband joined the Marines, I searched every where for good beef jerky out here (California) but could never find anything close to like what we had back home (Oklahoma) and when I found out Hard Times had a website and shipped, I ordered as much as I could and eagerly awaited my package, constantly checking shipping updates and more! I ate this entire jar in a matter of days and now have to order more!

I have been biting the product off and on for the last few years and my family loves it. We stick to the original. The container it is on helps to keep it fresh especially at softball games.
